OIL SPILL UPDATE

Update on BioTech Mills Oil Spill Response: The Company for the last few weeks has had it's crisis teams working out of Houma, Louisiana and Venice, Louisiana. Some of our executives are presently in Key West, Florida arranging logistics, warehouse space, and deployment teams. CEO Bob Hughes states, "it is just a matter of time before the spill products reaches many beaches and wildlife tidal habitats from Louisiana and Texas all the way to Western Florida. Our job is to be at the right place, at the right time, with the correct products and get them to the environmental companies accomplishing the clean up." Operations Vice President, David Schmitt states, "We now have the manufacturing and logistics ramped to feed the products to the different locations." Numerous truckloads of BioTech Mills absorptive oil spill products were shipped in the forth week after the spill and shipping continues. Kenaf can also be used in wildlife rescue efforts and we have shipped some powered kenaf for that purpose without charge.

The BioTech Mills' plant in Snow Hill, North Carolina is the largest natural fiber manufacturing and processing facility in North America. Our milling facility operates the largest Bliss hammermill (300 HP)for high volume manufacturing of our products.
BioTech Mills, Inc. is a green cleantech company that farms and contract farms a plant called kenaf, which converts large amounts of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide into oxygen. An acre of kenaf converts more green house gases than three acres of tropical rain forest. The products we make are used to clean up our environment from oil and chemical spills to cleaning up our soils that have been contaminated by toxic chemicals, heavy metals and PCBs. Our composite products help automobiles achieve better gas mileage because automobile parts made with our kenaf bast fiber are lighter, stronger and lower cost.
